METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett spoke to a few hours before the concert at the at the Four Seasons Hotel. Watch the interview at this location. Regarding the "secret" show, Hammett said the initial intent was for the show to be hush-hush, but that plan got foiled a couple months ago when word began spreading across the country of a "secret" show at SXSW. On the subject of the upcoming "Guitar Hero: Metallica" game, Hammett said, "It is a different sort of experience. Going into this 20 years or so back this is something that definitely was not on the job description. But it's super cool, I mean, I love video games to the point where when I start playing video games I don't do anything else, and to actually become a video game it's really super right on." Austin band THE SWORD is also included in the new video game. "We love THE SWORD," Hammett said. "They're a great band, they're great people. They're great to hang out with and tour with, and they're just a bunch of decent folk and we just decided at one point that we were going to have them with us as much as possible."
