Tweet METALLICA Songs Performed By BALTIC GUITAR QUARTET, Double Bass Soloist GUY DAVID TUNEH (Video) - Jan. 10, 2012
In his first "crossover" project, double bass soloist Guy David Tuneh in December 2010 joined together with BALTIC GUITAR QUARTET to perform in an unusual ensemble: guitar quartet and double bass. The result: six new works to be performed on double bass; three pieces for double bass as solo and three as an accompanying instrument. BALTIC GUITAR QUARTET members Zigmas Čepulėnas and Chris Ruebens arranged for this special event five pieces, including METALLICA's "Enter Sandman" and "The Unforgiven" for double bass and guitar quartet.
Video footage of Guy David Tuneh and the BALTIC GUITAR QUARTET performing "Enter Sandman" and "The Unforgiven" in the Berliner Philharmonie, a concert hall in Berlin, Germany, can be seen below. The BALTIC GUITAR QUARTET is often introduced as the leading guitar ensemble in the Baltic countries. Formed in 2004, the quartet involves young Lithuanian musicians, winners of various competitions and active as soloists in Lithuania and abroad. (Thanks: h-a-r-v / DeathMagnetic.pl) |
