Bassist Jason Newsted (VOIVOD, METALLICA, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM) will guest on the "Bone Metal Zone" show with host Nikki Blakk on the San Francisco radio station 107.7 FM this Friday, June 26. Jason will be bringing in some of his own CDs to play.

The "Bone Metal Zone" airs every Friday night from 10:00 p.m.- to 1:00 a.m. PST. It can be streamed live via the Internet at www.1077thebone.com.

Ken of MetalFanzine.net conducted an interview with Jason Newsted on April 5, 2009 after Jason was inducted, along with the current members of METALLICA and the band's late bassist Cliff Burton, into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Watch the five-minute chat below.

METALLICA played "Master Of Puppets" and "Enter Sandman" at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, with Newsted and his replacement, Robert Trujillo, both taking part in the performance (the group played as a five-piece). They also led a "surprise jam" at the end of the night consisting of "Train Kept A Rollin'", with RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' Flea, LED ZEPPELIN's Jimmy Page, AEROSMITH's Joe Perry and Jeff Beck.

METALLICA was inducted by RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS bassist Flea.
